In 2005 Yvonne Zimprich and Wolf Doser established their office for design in Trier. Their working environment encompasses the development of products and spatial concepts, with special regard to furniture design for the indoor and outdoor area. The challenge they set themselves when developing a concept is to reduce the product to its function and emotion. Thereby a consistent and honest design is as important as an economic realization. Numerous awards underline their work.
Teak is considered the best wood for outdoor furniture. Teak does not need to be impregnated or specially treated for protection. STERN teak furniture comes from controlled wood sources. The high content of natural oils makes the wood particularly weather-resistant. Over time, teak acquires an unmistakable, silver-grey patina. The influence of rain, heat and light can cause small cracks to form. This is normal and does not affect the quality and durability of the furniture in any way.
