Can I adjust the height of the table frames?
Yes, STERN table frames are all equipped with height adjusters so that you can compensate for small unevennesses in the surface. Thanks to the new leveling system that STERN has been using since 2023, the height can be adjusted steplessly by lifting slightly.
Do the pillows/cushions fade in the sun?

STERN pillows/cushions are made of polyacrylic. It has a very high light fastness of 7-8 (with a maximum value of 8). Therefore, our pillows have a very good protection against UV radiation.

However, please keep in mind that every fabric tends to fade over time due to direct or indirect UV radiation. Wetness promotes fading, so please be sure to dry wet fabrics in the shade.

Does the Silverstar tabletop get hot in the sun?

How long does a pillow/cushion take to dry?

Unfortunately, this question can not be answered in a general way, because it depends on various factors. The outside temperature, the amount of water, whether a cushion is in the shade or in the sun - these and other factors affect the drying time.

On average, one can assume:
In the shade: 5-6 hours
In the sun: 2-3 hours

Do I need to store the pillows under cover or inside at night?

In order to enjoy your STERN furniture for as long as possible, we recommend that you cover it with a STERN protective cover. If you do not have a protective cover available, we recommend that you store the cushions and pillows in a protected place.

Do I have to screw the Silverstar table tops to the frame?
Yes, the Silverstar table tops must be screwed to the frame and must not simply be laid on top. A matching mounting kit is included.
If you do not mount your HPL top to the frame, it will warp over time.
I need help with the assembly. Where can I find assembly instructions?

Assembly instructions should be included with each of your purchased products. Take another look in the box to make sure you haven't overlooked the assembly instructions.

How do I care for my STERN outdoor furniture?

To ensure that your newly purchased outdoor furniture will accompany you for a long time, we recommend that you care for and protect it regularly.

To facilitate the care and cleaning of STERN furniture, special care and cleaning products have been produced for our range. You can purchase these through specialized dealers.

How do I winterize my outdoor furniture?

Since it can get quite cold and unstable in winter, we recommend that you protect your STERN furniture accordingly. Ideally with a suitable STERN protective cover.

Please make sure that the cover is sufficiently ventilated to prevent condensation from forming. You can use simple plastic wedges or similar as spacers for this purpose.

Your furniture will be in good hands under a canopy. So they are not exposed to direct weather (snow, sleet or rain). Storage in a dry, unheated room is also ideal.

In addition, you should drain any water that may have entered from all racks with cavities before wintering. This is best done by removing the floor glides. Please do this on a non-sensitive surface if the water is discolored. When water freezes in the pipes, it expands. This can cause damage to the material.

Can I leave my outdoor furniture outside without any restrictions?

Basically, all our outdoor furniture are suitable for outdoor use. This means that you can leave the furniture outside in the summer without any issues.

Nevertheless, for products with fabric, to ensure a long life of your outdoor furniture, we recommend you to cover it with a suitable STERN protective cover.

What is flash rust?

Flash rust can occur especially on stainless steel furniture and significantly affect its appearance. You can remove flash rust with our green stainless steel sponge, which is included with our product. For special cleaning and care, we recommend our STERN stainless steel cleaner.

What can I do against mildew stains?

Mildew stains can occur on both wooden furniture and textiles. While mildew stains can usually be removed from wood, this is almost impossible with fabrics or textiles.

What can I do about grease stains on my wood panel?
What can I do about streaks on my flooring from abrasion of floor glides?

Our outdoor furniture is equipped with black floor glides. These fit perfectly with the design of the furniture, are stable and have UV protection.

However, like all plastics, our floor glides also have an abrasion, which can vary depending on the structure of the floor. On light floors, this abrasion can leave visible streaks. With household cleaners, you can easily remove the streaks.

How to remove scratches from the garden furniture?

Pillowcases with zipper can be easily washed in the washing machine on the delicate cycle at a maximum of 30 ° C with a mild detergent. Please pull damp over the filling afterwards and dry the pillow set up in the shade. We advise against drying in a tumble dryer, as it damages the fibers. Pillowcases can be easily washed in the washing machine on the gentle cycle at 30°C. Cover the pillowcase while still wet on the foam and let it air dry in the shade. They should not be ironed or dried in the dryer.

How often and how do I care for my teak or old teak furniture?

We recommend, to remove dirt and unwanted patina, to treat your STERN wooden furniture at least 1x a year with our STERN Teak Cleaner.

In addition, you should still use our STERN Teak Protector to treat your STERN outdoor furniture. This allows you to refresh the appearance of the wood to counteract the appearance of patina. It is important here that you check whether you like the color before use.
